The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency claimed it is alarmed in regards to the higher number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and sassa status there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The provider place produced for intervention encounters a significant inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it website difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all prospects and maximize access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
